Winged IV cannula for animal use in 22G, 24G and 26G, colour coded by gauge, 50 per box.
Product Overview
A winged intravenous cannula made for animal use, supplied in three gauges for patients from exotic and feline through to canine. Each gauge carries its own hub colour, so the right size is picked off the tray without reading the packet.
Boxed in fifties and sterilised by ethylene oxide, single use. Three gauge and length combinations are stocked: 22G × 25 mm, 24G × 19 mm and 26G × 16 mm.
Key Features
- Three gauge and length combinations — 22G × 25 mm, 24G × 19 mm, 26G × 16 mm

Clinical Applications
- Peripheral venous access for fluid therapy in canine and feline patients
- Induction and intra-operative access
- Repeated intravenous medication in hospitalised patients
- Small and exotic patients, on the 26G × 16 mm size
- Blood sampling where a cannula is already placed
Handling Notes
- Choose gauge by vessel size and required flow, not by patient weight alone. The 26G is rated at ≥15 mL/min — adequate for maintenance, not for shock rates
- Secure through the wings; taping over the hub alone is what causes positional loss overnight
- Single use only. Do not reuse or re-sterilise
- Do not use if the individual pack is opened or damaged, or past the printed expiry date
- Confirm 22G and 24G flow rates with us if your protocol specifies a minimum rate
Package Contents
- 50 individually packed cannulae per box, one gauge per box

Why Choose This Cannula
- Three gauges cover exotic through canine from one supplier and one stock line
- Colour-coded hubs mean the right gauge is picked by sight during an induction, not read off a packet
- Made for animal use rather than a human product carried across, with sizes chosen for veterinary vessels

FAQ
Which gauges are available? 22G × 25 mm, 24G × 19 mm and 26G × 16 mm, 50 pieces per box, one gauge per box.
What flow rate does the 26G give? ≥15 mL/min. Flow rates for the 22G and 24G are pending the supplier specification — ask us if your protocol depends on a minimum rate.
How is it sterilised? Ethylene oxide. Single use, for animal use only.
Can it be used for blood sampling? Sampling from an already placed cannula is common practice; follow your own protocol on dilution and first-draw discard.
What is the shelf life? Pending the supplier specification. The expiry date is printed on each box and individual pack.
