How are flexible endoscopes reprocessed between patients?

Flexible endoscopes require high-level disinfection (HLD), not sterilisation, between patients. The standard cycle is enzymatic detergent pre-soak, manual cleaning of channels, followed by immersion in a high-level disinfectant (OPA, glutaraldehyde, or peracetic acid) for the manufacturer-specified contact time. A leak test must be performed before every reprocessing cycle.

What is the difference between full HD and 4K veterinary endoscopy systems?

Full HD (1080p) is the clinical standard for diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy in general veterinary practice. 4K provides incremental image quality benefit in specialised mucosal pathology work but does not change clinical outcomes for routine gastroscopy, foreign-body retrieval or bronchoscopy.
